Races aren't just for pro's!

1. Beach Bash 10K

Newburgh, Aberdeenshire, 22 March

The Beach Bash 10K promises to be a thrilling test of endurance, set against the stunning backdrop of Newburgh’s coastline. Organised by the Newburgh Dunes Running Club, this multi-terrain race features a mix of beach, dune, trail, and pavement. While the route includes several uphill challenges, participants will be rewarded with breathtaking views as they loop around the Forvie National Nature Reserve. Prepare yourself for a run that will truly engage your legs and spirit.

2. Lasswade 10 Mile Road Race

Rosewell, Midlothian, 2 March

For those seeking a more challenging road race, the Lasswade 10 Mile Road Race may be the perfect choice. This event breaks the monotony of traditional flat courses by introducing a series of gentle hills set in the picturesque Scottish countryside. While the undulating terrain may not be extreme, it offers an excellent training opportunity for runners preparing for spring marathons, helping to enhance both strength and stamina.

3. Great Welsh Marathon and Half Marathon

Pembrey, Carmarthenshire, 16 March

The Great Welsh Marathon and Half Marathon promises a unique experience, distinguished by its commitment to sustainability. Although not affiliated with the well-known 'Great runs' series, this event stands out with its eco-friendly initiatives, such as eliminating event T-shirts and using recycled medals. Featuring a flat and scenic route along the coast, participants should be prepared for unpredictable weather, as conditions can shift dramatically during the race.

As we celebrate the arrival of spring, these races offer perfect opportunities to lace up your running shoes and find your stride. Stay tuned for more highlights in our series of running events.
